Description:
Armenia’s traditions of rhythm and folk music are strongly influential in this work, but it is not a true folk song. Musicologists say that the Armenian touch forms the basis of all my works, and in this piece these influences are particularly prominent. Beneath the melodic, lyrical language of the trumpet, the rhythmic piano accompaniment seems to be an imitation of a folklore performance, with its traditional instruments such as the «duduk», with percussion instruments.
