Description:
Three of the five charming Promenades Musicales (Musical Walks), skillfully written by Jean-François Michel, are for one trumpet and piano and two for 2 trumpets and piano (the second part can also be played with a soprano instrument in Bb, e.g. a clarinet). These little pieces have several aims: to develop musical sense and inventiveness in beginners, to train coordination with the accompaniment (loosely but strictly observing note values, articulations, rests and empty bars) and at the same time to familiarize them with tempi, rallentandi, accelerandi, dynamic variations and repeat signs. All this with appealing, easy trumpet parts. The piano part is also designed for young accompanists (or instrumental teachers, or parents with elementary piano technique who can accompany their pupils/children in this way).
