Solos for Trumpet

Trumpet virtuoso and pedagogue Timothy Morrison has compiled one of the most comprehensive collections of solos for trumpet players ever published. A well-balanced mix of transcriptions from classical literature and solos originally written for the instrument, Solos for Trumpet has music from all the major periods of music history. Many of the titles the collection contains are on State and Festival lists and the book covers performance levels from grade 2 through grade 5. Music by Bach, Bizet, Burke, Clarke, de Boeck, Dvoøák, Fitzgerald, Handel, Saint Saens, Vander Cook and many others is included plus such trumpet classics as The Carnival of Venice by Jean Baptiste Arban, Concert Piece by Giulio Alary and Rafael Mendez's sizzling transcription of the Habañera from Bizet's Carmen. This collection is destined to be a basic resource for state lists, trumpet players and teachers at every level of accomplishment.
