Description:
A contribution to the development of the classical period for the trumpet: The pieces and sonatas by James Hook (1746-1827) arranged by Kristin Thielemann in an intermediate level of difficulty are particularly suitable for lessons as well as for auditions and competitions such as 'Jugend musiziert'. Some of Hook's songs have been arranged as pieces and can serve well as an introduction to this repertoire. More advanced players can venture into the sonatas. In addition to the often played Sonata op. 99/3, also lesser known sonatas become interesting for the trumpet through the choice of well-lying keys.
All pieces were recorded by Prof. Reinhold Friedrich (trumpet) and Eriko Takezawa (piano) as full version and playback.
