For 8 trumpets (double quartet). Chorus 1: Bb trumpet 1-4 Chorus 2: Bb trumpet 5-8 At first sight it seems a bit crazy to compose a piece for 8 trumpets. But let's be honest: how many wind orchestras don't have huge trumpet registers by now, and also at the music schools the new trumpet players are growing and prospering. With 'Trompetissimo' I have written a festive piece for 8 trumpets, which is ideally suited for the opening of a concert. The parts vary in difficulty, so that trumpeters of different levels can be brought together. The arrangement in two choirs allows for delightful possibilities of performance. For example, choir one could be on stage, while choir two could be heard from a gallery or gallery.
