Vocalise-Étude en forme de Habanera is a refined work by Maurice Ravel from 1907. Originally composed as a wordless vocal etude, the piece focuses on the suppleness of the melodic line and the purity of the sound. The designation "en forme de Habanera" refers to the famous Spanish-influenced duple meter, which is characterized by its swaying and sensual pulse.
