Description:
Written for the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain, Kristina Arakelyan's Two Love Songs are immensely singable, and perfectly worked to add a strain of honest uplift and positivity to any recital of 20th- and 21st-century repertoire for SATB chorus. The two songs, You are loved (setting the composer's own text) and My love is come to me (a setting of words by Christina Rossetti), may be performed as single items, or programmed together as a beautiful pairing of opposite yet complementary reflections on the same theme.
