Description:
Amada Noche — Beloved Night. When composing this piece, Chilean composer Martín Letelier envisioned the silvery light of the moon reflecting off the waves of the sea, combined with a sense of the sheer immensity of nature, which seems both close and intimate. The work sets to music a poem by the Chilean author Malú Urriola. It was composed in 2020–21 during a time of isolation and uncertainty and invites listeners to find not a threat but a sense of security in the darkness.
