Description:
Carl Orff’s "Carmina Burana" is arguably the most famous choral work of the 20th century. With this anthology of Middle High German and Latin texts—originally conceived as a scenic cantata—Carl Orff succeeded in creating a masterpiece. The newly typeset and revised edition of *Carmina Burana* consistently coordinates all performance materials—namely, the conductor’s score, piano reduction, choral score, and orchestral parts. A detailed foreword by Thomas Rösch explains the work’s origins, form, and reception, making this edition a solid foundation for rehearsal and performance.
