Description:
Unlike the other organ concertos, the organ concerto HWV 292 was not written as a transcription of a version for another solo instrument, but was conceived from the outset as part of the oratorio "Athalia". In the autograph, the fourth movement of this concerto merges seamlessly into an "Alleluia" chorus, which was only later replaced by an Adagio finale for the print.
The edition is a useful addition to the already published material of the organ concerto (BA 8344) due to the easily realizable "Alleluia" finale.
