The "Geistliche Chor-Music" published in 1648 is still considered one of Heinrich Schütz's key works.
After the revised new edition by Werner Breig, the two-volume practical edition (BA 5901/BA 5902) was published in 2012 and 2013. Selected motets are now also published in individual editions.
They offer a modern typeface and typesetting, the retention of the original key and an integrated continuo realization. In accordance with contemporary performance practice, the "choir" parts can be performed both vocally and instrumentally. Textured instrumental parts are available separately for instrumental scoring (material for BA 5901/BA 5902).
