Description:
The oratorio "Solomon" about the wise and righteous King Solomon was composed in 1748 and is musically one of the richest compositions Handel created for this genre. The chorus plays a special role here: rarely do we find such extensive homophonic and polyphonic choral movements in Handel's works, including eight-part jubilant choruses.
This piano reduction is based on the "Hallische Händel-Ausgabe" (BA 10709), which offers the complete critical musical text of the oratorio for the first time.
