Description:
The heart of night was created in 2018 and 2019 during various trips in Italy, Spain and the United States of America. The text is the result of a search for poetic texts by North American poets. The idea of composing a choral work based on a previously unused text also guided here. While the poem "Autumn" served as the basis for a piano work, the poems of Bliss Carman have probably not been used as text for choral music so far. The performance duration of the work is about five minutes. (Florian Ilge)
