Description:
The melody of the "Bagpipe Polka" is a folk tune from Moravia. The piece begins very slowly with the main theme, accompanied by characteristic bagpipe fifths. After this exciting opening, it quickly transitions into a lively polka or a Hungarian dance. In between, the bagpipe theme always returns, giving the ensemble a chance to catch its breath and gather momentum. This piece has been arranged here very simply for a 7-piece ensemble; it’s highly effective and is sure to delight your audience.
