The melody of the "Bagpipe Polka" is a folk tune from Moravia. The piece begins very slowly with the theme, accompanied by typical bagpipe fifths. After this exciting opening, it quickly transitions into a lively polka or a Hungarian dance. In between, the bagpipe theme always returns, giving you a chance to catch your breath and gather momentum.
