Description:
In 1306 Robert I was installed as King of Scotland. The melody of the march "Robert the Bruce" was played for the first time at the coronation ceremony. James L. Hosay has now effectively composed this solemn music in a symphonic portrait for wind orchestra. The music develops from a quiet, chorale-like atmosphere into a brilliant finale, in which a bagpipe group can also be included as the absolute highlight.
