This serenade does not primarily cover a specific type of music. Rather, it generally describes various forms of performance of different musical genres with an entertaining character. In the spirit of the original title 'Five Divertimenti...', they are therefore more like 'Small musical treasures for musical entertainment'. The present edition adheres melodically and harmonically to the original models. The logical division of the original parts has resulted in somewhat lighter individual parts. In this format, they are easy to play in terms of wind technique and interpretation for a wide variety of instrumentations.
