Description:
This is the biggest hit to 'The Pointer Sisters' (1982) and it has become a 'standard', recorded by artists worldwide. It appears also in numerous TV shows and movies.
A great 'Up tempo' song with lots of energy. Work hard on balance and to keep the flow all the way to the end.
A little tip for the wind band is is to use Saxophones to play the voices that are a appearing weak in the band so that chords and lines in this arrangement are taken care of.
The arrangement may look quite easy, but with a tempo of around 180 beats per minute, it requires a rapidity in the tongue muscle that this piece can rehearse.
If there are musicians who can improvise, one can open up 93 (Part 4. The written solo can of course also be played as it stands.
