Children on Stage - Clear the stage for children!
Making music together is fun! However, good ensemble playing needs to be learned from an early age. This series is intended to support those music educators who want to encourage their students in ensemble playing at an early stage of learning. Through a careful selection of pieces appropriate to the age of the young musicians, the desire to make music together is awakened. Appealing arrangements - there are no boring accompaniments - also spur the students on as they practice at home. In order to ensure a versatile use of the pieces, special attention has been paid to flexibility in instrumentation. Recorders, flutes and violins can be used as 1st and 2nd parts in any possible combination and number. The difficulty of the piano part is adapted to the other parts. This gives piano students an early opportunity to play in an ensemble. The bass part can be played by the violoncello and/or bassoon and/or double bass. The percussion part is to be used ad libitum. It is deliberately kept simple so that a non-percussion student can also play the part. Experience has shown that trying out 'new' instruments is particularly fun for students. The programmatic titles of this series are accompanied by imaginative texts that can be recited along with the music. Nothing stands in the way of a successful performance.
