Description:
Two things are essentially new: the involvement of the congregation through communal singing and, secondly, the frequent use of the main organ - both in the accompaniment of the congregational chorales and in the weighty preludes and postludes of the two parts "Maundy Thursday" and "Good Friday", of which the Passion consists... Musically and liturgically a more than worthwhile task to bring the Passion story to the congregation in - for us - a new guise.
