Description:
The three-movement work for the usual piano trio instrumentation is classical in style. Two extensive movements in E flat major, both with the tempo marking "Allegro vivace", the first in sonata form, the third a rondo, frame an Adagio movement in A flat major in three-part song form. This Adagio leads directly into the last movement at the end, but can easily be played on its own by omitting the last two bars. (Christian Vitalis)
