Description:
This mass was commissioned for the diocesan church music day of the diocese of Speyer; the premiere will take place in October 2018 in the cathedral there with well over 1,000 singers. The Düsseldorf composer and music director ACV Klaus Wallrath, known nationwide not least for his sonorous composition commissions on the occasion of the last Katholikentage, created an ordinarium that is characterized by wonderful melodic inventions with catchy qualities, distinctive harmonies in the 'romantic style' and masterful compositional technique, which, however, does not entail any increase in technical difficulties. Numerous unison and canonic passages as well as motif relationships between the movements help to reduce the rehearsal time. The mass can be performed with organ only or additionally with four wind instruments and timpani and is suitable as a festive mass as well as for 'ordinary' performances during the church year. With Credo.
The score is copy-protected for single copies. This is only omitted if the choral score is purchased at the same time as the orchestral material.
