Description:
In late 1791, Mozart wrote his famous concerto for "basset clarinet" and orchestra, known today as the Clarinet Concerto, K. 622. Ten years later, it was published for the first time by three different publishers: Breitkopf Härtel, André, and Sieber. That same year, Breitkopf published A. E. Müller’s arrangement for flute in G. This arrangement is a typical example of the diverse, open-minded musical practices of the early 19th century. It is now available for the first time in a modern practical edition. The editor is the internationally renowned musicologist and early music specialist Christopher Hogwood. The arrangement follows the first editions, and the piano reduction reflects the performance practice of the time.
