Description:
The present opus 116 by Johann Christian Heinrich Rinck is not included in the list of works in his "Selbstbiographie" (Breslau: Aderholz 1833), as it was first published three years after the publication of this autobiographical short work, namely in 1836 by Schott in Mainz. Later editions have a modified title, probably for reasons of better saleability: "48 kleine und leichte Orgelpräludien zum Gebrauch beim öffentlichen Gottesdienste". It was reprinted after the same plates. (Christoph Dohr)
