Description:
This overture to the musical tale of Prometheus, who steals fire from the gods in order to form man and woman from it, was published in an organ arrangement by Edwin Lemare in 1900 by Novello (London). This arrangement is presented here in a somewhat purified version. The result is a veritable, versatile work by Beethoven that enriches the repertoire of concertante organ literature.
