Description:
Sonntagsorgel is a three-volume, stylistically wide-ranging collection for part-time organists. It is suitable for use in church services as well as for teaching purposes.
The first volume contains festive preludes, toccatas and fugues, trios and pastorales by German and French composers from the 17th to the early 20th century.
The second volume offers meditative pieces from Christian Heinrich Rinck to Théodore Salomé. The third volume offers liturgical organ music (chorale preludes, hymn arrangements).
The result is a florilegium of practice-oriented and beautiful-sounding organ music that is easy to play and comprehensive in terms of compositional history. In addition to being used by part-time church musicians and organists to prepare for church services, it can also be used by full-time church musicians as prima vista literature.
