Léon Boëllmann (1862-1897) was a student at the École Niedermeyer and titular organist at Saint-Vincent-de-Paul in Paris. In the lineage of Saint-Saëns, César Franck and Gigout, his compositional oeuvre reflects the elegant and sophisticated sphere of the Belle Époque.
