This complete edition of Jean-Philippe Rameau's keyboard works is the first to include all the printed editions of his works for solo harpsichord and his keyboard arrangement of "Les Indes Galantes" published under the composer's supervision. All new practical performance insights - for example with regard to the execution of the different repeat signs in the original prints - have also been incorporated into the modern clef text. The result is an edition that is as reliable as it is unrivaled for today's practice and takes full account of current knowledge of historical performance practice. For the first time, all performance markings and accidentals from the sources have been transcribed unchanged. All of Rameau's texts - one of the most important sources for performance practice - are printed in the original French as well as in German and English translation. Instructive facsimiles enrich the edition, as does the detailed preface in which the editor, the renowned harpsichordist and conductor Siegbert Rampe, explains the source situation, editorial principles and all essential aspects of the performance.
