The viola da gamba has always awakened my listening to this strange concept of the "inside of the sound".
Why this instrument and not another one? The bow's peculiar smile?
It seemed to me then, and I still seem to hear in the sound of the viol a vital event without conclusion, beyond any aesthetic, both indivisible and indefinite.
From what I hear, the object and the subject are one.
As I was trying to understand, the easisest way was to write a piece.
To put flowers in a vase is to see the universe in that vase.
Any attempt at imagination aims to embrace the world, while knowledge is confronted with the finitude of our knowledge.
In the sound of the viol, one can listen to the world.
Therefore we must sometimes focus on the universe of the sign.
