Description:
In the notes on interpretation, the editor explains Mozart's interpretative markings and thus brings together in a central place what would otherwise have to be laboriously compiled from scattered articles: Articulation signs such as slurs, dots and dashes, appoggiaturas, but above all Mozart's designations for dynamics, whereby the editor succeeds for the first time in discovering a kind of system according to which Mozart apparently set the signs and which, beyond the meaning to be clarified (Marguerre distinguishes between signs that merely indicate changes of register and those that indicate nuances), also intends agogic nuances.
