The magic of Fauré's works written for church music contexts is unique. The motets and chants written for the special features of the Madeleine choir organ have the particular colourfulness of a floating harmony and also convey the special intimacy of a specific tonality with their Latin ritualized texts. These pieces, which can be performed by smaller ensembles, are particularly recommended at this time. A novelty is the recording of the double bass part (ad libitum), which does not systematically appear in the first editions, but corresponds to the usual music-making practice in the Madeleine.

The better-known works are published in print, the less frequently performed ones are available via digital distribution. Numerous treasures such as the "Cantique de Jean Racine" or the "Messe basse" are published here in practical individual editions based on the secure musical text of the Fauré Complete Edition.
