Description:
Following the previously published early love songs "Die Zypressen," the Urtext editions of all of Dvořák’s other songs with piano accompaniment are now in the works.
The collection "Lieder II" comprises the mature songs from the composer’s later creative period; in addition to the well-known ("Love Songs") and lesser-known ("Three Modern Greek Poems") cycles, the collection also includes completely unknown and previously unpublished songs ("Lullaby" and a posthumous work completed by Josef Suk, "Song from The Blacksmith of Leschetin") are included.
The songs are arranged chronologically. They are published for high and low voices.
The lyrics for each voice part are provided in three languages (Czech/English/German); in most cases, these are the translations already included in the first edition.
