Description:
The Missa in B flat KV 275 was written in 1777. Following the tradition of the "Missa brevis", the movements are short, and in text-rich movements such as the "Credo", different text passages are sung at the same time. The orchestral instrumentation is also correspondingly reduced.
The present piano reduction for this frequently performed mass replaces the previously available edition BA05344-90. Inaccuracies have been eliminated, the piano writing is set more transparently and yet contains all the essentials. This means that the piano part can also be easily realized by non-professional musicians.
Despite the revision, the new piano reduction is compatible with the old one, so it is not a problem if some choir members use the new one and others still use the old one. The orchestral parts are still available under order number BA05344.
