Description:
Bach's cantatas make up a large part of his oeuvre. It has gained immense popularity in recent decades and has found its way into the repertoire of many singers. Vocal teacher Charlotte Lehmann has selected characteristic arias from Bach's cantatas for the four voice parts soprano, alto, tenor and bass and has provided extensive didactic notes: Each volume is accompanied by a detailed booklet (in German or English). In addition to preliminary exercises for the cantatas, it contains the background information necessary for rehearsal and explains technical, stylistic and practical performance issues.
The easy-to-play piano reduction also enables less experienced accompanists to perform individual arias outside the framework of the cantata.
