Description:
The Concerto for Flute by Vilém Blodek (1834-1874) enjoyed increasing popularity immediately after its premiere in 1862 and is now part of the concertante repertoire for this instrument.
This piano reduction offers an easily playable orchestral reduction by Petr Koronthály as well as the solo part in a revised version compared to the Supraphon edition of 1961, which the flautist, historian and musicologist Lukáš M. Vytlacil created on the basis of the surviving sources. The flute part has been cleared of later interpretative arrangements. The first movement also appears here for the first time ever in its original, unabridged version.
