The "Little Piano Book for Anna Magdalena Bach" is now 300 years old, and it is one of the few things we "know" about Anna Magdalena Bach. The works it contains were certainly particularly close to her heart - and the arias and songs were part of her vocal repertoire. The cantilena from "Warum betrübst Du Dich ..." BWV 516 is interpreted in many ways in the Fantasia: the questioning motif of the beginning, the virtuoso passages of the middle section, the return to the question, but in a different way.
