Description:
This quasi-rock ballad was written in 1996, shortly after the formation of the Sotto Voce Quartet, with the intention of illustrating a color (maroon) through the art of sound. To the lush harmonies, pointillistic and eloquent solo passages, the conical instruments add color to the quiet musical structure. Michael Forbes
