Leclair's trio sonatas are among the best of their genre. They are on a par with those of Handel and Telemann. An introductory overture is followed by a splendid dance round.
According to the first print of the parts, which appeared in 1931 from Amsterdam publishers G. Alsbach.
Second delivery; B flat major - c minor - E flat major - F major - C major - d minor
The piece captivates by a fine tonal ballance between horn and the piano part. The rhapsodic melodic structure already shows early Romantic coloring. Ideal as an encore and addition to the repertoire.
A charming piece that sonically traces the 'woes' of a girl in programmatic song form. Difficulty level of medium goodness and fingering well-suited to the clarinet.
