Description:
Experience the profound spiritual power of Johann Sebastian Bach's masterpiece in a deeply moving and accessible setting: "Die 12 Choralsätze der Matthäuspassion" (The 12 Chorale Settings from the St. Matthew Passion) combines the most stirring chorales from the monumental oratorio with connecting scripture readings and congregational hymns. Published by the renowned Carus-Verlag, this thoughtfully curated score edition bridges the gap between sophisticated choral art and active liturgical participation. Choirs can unfold the sublime beauty and emotional depth of Bach's timeless harmonies while seamlessly involving the congregation in the Passion narrative. Perfect for Passiontide devotions, Holy Week services, or sacred concerts, this practical score provides church musicians and choirs with a wonderfully versatile musical concept of enduring significance.
