This extremely appealing work (duration: 9') in E-flat major is composed in three movements to match the text and offers both soloists a challenging yet rewarding solo part. The violin part, which is polyphonic in places, is based on the stylus phantasticus and evidently requires a scordatura, which has been reconstructed by the editor: E-flat´´, B´, E-flat´, B. A violin part in both scordatura and transposed tuning is included with this edition.
