Description:
With the festive Missa in C major (K 46), Johann Joseph Fux created a magnificent sacred masterpiece of the High Baroque. Throughout his works, the Viennese court Kapellmeister masterfully combined the time-honored polyphony inspired by Palestrina with the vibrant, expressive qualities of the Neapolitan style. Scored for soloists, mixed choir (SATB), four trumpets, timpani, two violins, and basso continuo, this mass radiates a grand and jubilant atmosphere. This edition presents the meticulously prepared single part for Violin 1 from the renowned Carus-Verlag, featuring clear typography and practical page turns—an essential performance material for ambitious ensembles performing in both concert and liturgical settings.
