Description:
ZM 31880 is a revised new edition of the old number 1117. This quartet belongs to the series of the so-called "Parisian Quartets" which were composed between 1730 and 1740. Werner Richter complemented this edition by numbering the basso continuo and adding new parts for the viola da gamba and the violoncello. In doing so, he followed the unaltered score and its instrumentation. The parts of the flute and the violin can be replaced by other instruments as it was common practice in those days. For this edition, the typing of notes has been completely redone.
