Description:
The aim of this practical selection is to offer small and technically easy organ pieces for one- and two-manual instruments, arranged according to the most common keys. It is therefore particularly suitable for part-time organists. The edition contains composers from Kittel to Forchhammer who knew how to combine solid compositional skill with consideration for easy playability. Three of Rheinberger's fugues, his earliest organ compositions, are published for the first time. The shorter playing time of the individual works makes them particularly suitable as preludes and postludes in church services. The edition is accompanied by detailed performance notes and a list of sources.
