Description:
Beethoven composed the works known as the "Elector Sonatas" in 1783 as a pupil of Christian Gottlob Neefe in Bonn. "He would certainly become a second Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart if he progressed as he had begun", Neefe wrote enthusiastically in the same year. The three effective and technically demanding works were announced as "excellent compositions by a young genius of eleven years" and are stylistically very much influenced by C. P. E. Bach and the Mannheim School. They are the perfect introduction to the early classical sonata repertoire for piano lessons and for practicing brilliant skills.
