Description:
The concept of the "Concerto in the Italian Style" in F major for two-manual harpsichord is reminiscent of Bach's Weimar transcriptions of instrumental concertos for a keyboard instrument. He contrasted the Italian Concerto with the "French-style overture" in B minor, which is an arrangement of an earlier suite in C minor. The Urtext edition offers the text of the "New Bach Edition" (NBA).
