Description:
This collection holds a twofold distinction: Not only is it Telemann's first printed work, but he also acted as publisher himself. With his dedication to Johann Ernst of Saxe-Weimar, he intended to attract the nobility as a new audience, thus extending the influence of his music beyond bourgeois circles. These sonatas are not only enjoyable to play, but also represent a fascinating historical document.
