Mozarts Konzerte für Violine und Orchester gehören zu jenen herausragenden Werken, an denen ein jeder Geiger seine Fähigkeiten messen lassen muss: elegant und transparent, mit anspruchsvollen Läufen. Das Konzert in D-Dur, KV2 271a, das sogenannte 'sechste' Violinkonzert Mozarts, ist in zwei Quellen überliefert, einem französischen Stimmensatz mit Partitur sowie einer Berliner Partitur. Das Werk wurde von den Herausgebern der Neuen Mozart-Ausgabe als von zweifelhafter Echtheit befunden, obwohl viele Wissenschaftler in ihm deutlich Mozart'sche Eigenheiten erkennen.
