Description:
for Soprano, Tenor, Oboe, Bassoon, Two Violins, Viola and Basso Continuo.
"As Steals the Morn" (The Cheerful Man, the Thoughtful Man and the Moderate Man), was composed in 1740. It is described as a 'Pastoral Ode' and based on the poetry of John Milton. Many of the arias which occur in Handel's operas and oratorios are suitable for concert performance but are not readily available with instrumental parts. Using the Friedrich Chrysander complete edition as a source, this edition was researched and edited by C.M.M. Nex and F.H. Nex, originally for Phylloscopus Publications.
