Description:
The Bückeburg concertmaster Johann Christoph Friedrich Bach (1723-1795) was known as the gentle musician of the Bach family, who led a rather contemplative life. The original instrumentation of his six sonatas was a quartet for flute, violin, viola and figured bass, written around 1780/85. The sonatas are full of melodic and experimental ideas and characters. They are delightful compositions in a gallant style and are particularly suitable for lectures and lessons.
