Description:
Discover a hidden gem of the late Baroque and early Classical era: the charming Sonata in B-flat major for Oboe and Basso Continuo by Johann Philipp Kirnberger. As a distinguished master student of Johann Sebastian Bach, Kirnberger excelled at combining contrapuntal sophistication with lyrical elegance. His only surviving oboe sonata was published in 1769 in the renowned anthology 'Vermischte Musikalien'—a true testament to the high esteem his composition enjoyed among his contemporaries. This carefully edited sheet music edition by Amadeus Verlag provides musicians with a clear, readable layout of exceptional quality. It offers oboists a fantastic opportunity to enrich their chamber music repertoire with an expressive, melodious rarity. An essential addition for stylish recitals and passionate woodwind players alike!
